ANTI-WAR PROTEST AT DOWNING STREET

Whitehall, London, 28 July 2006

Stop The War Coalition handed over a petition to Tony Blair, signed by 8,000 people, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Lebanon -- and calling for Tony to stop listening to George Bush. The protest numbered a few hundred, and was restricted by the police to the opposite end of Whitehall, facing Downing Street. A small party then went on to hand over the petition across the road.
