VOICES FOR LEBANON AND PALESTINE
Rally demanding an Israeli ceasefire, Trafalgar Square, London, 30 July 2006
A protest was held in Trafalgar Square today, organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign. Many speakers attended the rally, including some from Lebanon and Palestine. I estimate about a thousand people attended.

Great capture with a London sightseeing bus in the background. I bet the tourists didn't realise they would get extra value for their money today!
Members of Neturei Karta were mixed among the pro-Lebanese and Hizbullah supporters, and were popular with the media and photographers. Rabbi Y Weiss of Neturei Karta spoke at the Islam Expo earlier this month.
In the video clip above, the member of Neturei Karta talks about the Holocaust and Israel's role in the Middle East crisis.
There were several speakers at the event, including Murad Qureshi and John Austin MP -- and speakers from Lebanon and Palestine.
It was a wonderfully warm summer's day in London, with picturesque blue skies above the classical London architechture.
There were a few tables selling material promoting a boycott of Israel and Israeli products.
Mock Israeli checklist, suggesting that the Israeli army would rather target children than Hizbullah.
Several women draped themselves in Lebanese flags ... while some did the thing in a Hezbollah flag:
On the topic of Hezbollah flags ... there were plenty on this day:
Redhead with Hezbollah flag.
The same banner that we saw in a previous protest.

The ubiquitous Communists are there.
"Don't teach me about democracy"
More Neturei Karta.
