ANTI-ISRAEL PROTEST IN LONDON

7,000 people march through London to protest Israel's action against Hezbullah, 22 July 2006

Thousands of people attended the protest march, which culminated in a presentation of 20 short speeches by notables like George Galloway and Azzam Tamimi. The protest was called by Stop the War Coalition, Muslim groups and Lebanese groups.

Azzam Tamimi, George Galloway and other leaders form the frontline of the protest. Andrew Murray in the black shirt talking on his phone.

Note the third placard -- it reads: "Iran needs nuclear weapons!".

George Galloway was one of about 20 speakers, and he tried to be as controversial as possible. Quoting him:

What I’m about to say is illegal in this country ...

Hezbollah has never been a terrorist organisation. I am here to glorify the Lebanese resistance, Hezbollah, and to glorify the resistance leader, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah ...

I'll see you in court, Mr Blair.

Mr Galloway repeats this quote in an online article for the Socialist Worker (Hat Tip: Harry's Place).

Here is a video clip of Galloway's full speech (Hat Tip: deutsche):

Below is the same speech, but this clip offers a view of the surrounding, cheering crowd:

I have no idea who these guys were ... anyone? They look a little out of place ... like some pop stars who wanted some limelight.
